Coming into 2020 as one of the UK’s top tech PR agencies, our goal throughout the year was to maintain that momentum and build on our recent success. Although, like every agency, we’ve had to face some testing times over the last few months, we’re extremely proud to be able to say that there have been plenty of highlights along the way.
Our crisis communications campaign with Avid – “Turning a Hollywood disaster into a PR win” – has won no less than four industry awards (and counting) across the US and the UK. These include winning a Gold Bell at the PR Club’s 52nd Annual Bell Ringer Awards (where we also won a Bronze Bell for our work with AKA NYC promoting Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), winning the reputation management category at The Drum’s PR Awards and being named as a Gold winner at the 2020 PR World Awards.
This all follows on from a hugely successful 2019. Last year marked the fifth year running that we were named in the top 20 technology PR agencies by PR Week, cementing our position as one of London’s top PR agencies and the UK’s leading b2b tech consultancies. We’ve also been consistently recognised in PR Week’s top 150 UK PR consultancies, which ranks UK-based PR companies across all sectors. Both of these accolades showcase the impact of our deep sector expertise, our boutique client-first model and the passion of our amazing teams.
“We’re delighted to be recognised as a leading agency in b2b technology PR for the fifth successive year, which is testament to the hard work of our talented people and the great relationships we build with our clients,” said our CEO Guy Walsingham. “Clients today realise that they need b2b tech PR partners that prioritise quality of thought over churned out content, and our commitment to fighting against the factory approach of PR with focused, industry-specialist teams is proven to deliver the value they are looking for.”
But the good news didn’t stop there. 2019 was one of our most successful years ever for industry recognition, as we won ten awards in the first half of the year alone cross our offices in the UK and the US. As a specialist content marketing and tech PR agency in London, Berlin, Paris, Boston and LA, this is testament to the value we are able to provide for clients through our expanded brand positioning and lead generation services.
Of course, it isn’t all about award wins. We’ve also focused on other areas throughout the year. For example, our global PR network Convoy – which lets us deliver high-quality campaigns seamlessly worldwide – has continued to go from strength to strength. We’ve welcomed several new agencies to our growing roster of partners in 2020, including Estonia, Prague, New Zealand and Belgium. Convoy now consists of more than 30 hand-picked partners covering over 50 countries and every major territory around the world.
Finally, we recently won a high-profile global client in the form of digital asset management (DAM) technology leader Bynder – supplementing the likes of social engagement platform Never.no and sales enablement unicorn Seismic from 2019. We’ve also expanded our European PR operations with the opening of a new French office in Paris – to add to our existing London and Berlin offices. This has increased the b2b tech PR and marketing support we are able to provide to local and international customers, putting us in a strong position to continue driving growth in 2021.
